Luis Astudillo is the Head of the World Language Department at Classical High School.
He received a Best Actor award from The Providence Phoenix for his performance in “The Swan” for Alias Stage. He first worked as an actor with 2nd Story more than 25 years ago. Most recent 2nd Story roles were in “A Flea in her Ear” and “The Front Page”. On television, Luis played Edgar Alonzo in Brotherhood (Season 2)-Showtime.
Kevin Broccoli is an actor, writer, and local Rhode Islander. He’s thrilled to be back at 2nd Story where favorite roles include Mason in Take Me Out, Harding in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and Curtis in The Lyons. His work as a writer has been featured in over twelve 2nd Story Dark Nights, as well as at Mixed Magic Theatre, Contemporary Theatre Company, and Counter Productions. He is also the writer and star of the web series “Amateurs” and the Artistic Director of Epic Theatre Company in Cranston, RI.
Ron Cesario (Costume Designer) has designed over 80 productions in 13 years as 2nd Story’s Resident Costume Designer. Ron currently manages the Brown University Costume Shop. He spent 14 years at Trinity Rep, the last 10 as Costume Director. Other credits include designs for the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center, Cape Cod Playhouse, Theater IV Virginia, Perishable Theater, Trinity Rep Conservatory, Rhode Island College and Brown/Trinity Playwrights Rep. He was Costume Designer for Boozical: The Musical and was an original cast member. He designs stagewear for The Khris Francis Show and gowns for the fabulous Miss Ladiva Jonz. Ron has collaborated with Kym Moore on several Brown TAPS department shows including: Pippin, The Cook, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde and Hype Hero; as well as her off-Broadway production of Jomama Jones Radiate.
David is a director and actor who recently relocated to New England from New York City. He has worked at such theatres as The McCarter Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, George Street Playhouse, Vital Theatre, The Cocteau Rep, and Goodspeed Opera House. Favorite projects include: Romeo (Actor), Macbeth (Actor), Fen (Director), Spring Awakening (Director), Hamlet (Director). Notable Audio book narration: Freedom by Jonathan Franzen, Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen. He is a member of SAG/AFTRA and Actors Equity, has a BFA in acting from SUNY Purchase, and an MFA in directing from Rutgers University.
Max Ponticelli serves as 2nd Story Theatre’s Producing Director and has been on staff since 2009. He holds a BFA in Dramatic Arts from URI and is a part-time faculty member at Clark University. Recently, Max been adding more “designer” credits to his resume: lighting for Prelude to a Kiss, Freud’s Last Session and Trip to Bountiful; sound for Enron (Motif Award, Best Sound Design), scenic design for Seascape and Murder at the Howard Johnson’s; and production design for Frankie & Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Tuesdays with Morrie, and Love, Loss & What I Wore. He occasionally works regionally with, most recently, Bridgewater State University, The Wilbury Theatre Group, and Trinity Rep.
Ed Shea is the co-founder, CEO and Artistic Director of 2nd Story Theatre.
