On matinees, for example, “easy access” is a commodity. So the sooner you select your seats, the better. Orders are processed in the order they are received.

FYI: UpStage “easy access” seating is on the same level as the stage (Row A). Row B is one step up, and Rows C, D, & E are two steps up each.

Pay attention to your choice of date and time! Save your email confirmation on your smartphone.

UpStage performances will always start on the half-hour: evenings at 7:30, matinees at 2:30.illusration-ruff

On average, 2nd Story actors devote more than 200 hours to a production.  That equals seven full-time work weeks.

A contribution to the Actors’ PayRole is your way to help provide stipends for those whose work brings so much joy and satisfaction.

Consider showing your gratitude with a generous, tax-deductible gift.

Our actors give so much, and you’ve responded with your presence, your applause, your support. We thank you and ask that you give just a little bit more.

What are your general guidelines for a great experience?

  • Arrive on time! Seating begins 30 minutes before showtime & latecomers may or may not be seated at the house’s discretion.
  • Please let us know if you have any concerns about special seating requirements. We are handicap accessible.
  • Grab an early drink! Our wonderful downstairs bar area opens 1 hour before showtime, so grab some popcorn and a bever.
  • Everyone gets to choose a specific seat using our online ticketing system so there’s no anxiety about where you’re sitting.
  • We have rush tickets at the door (cash or check only) pending availability for each performance, if you want to try and wing it.
  • We do not hold tickets without payment and unclaimed seats are subject to resale, so make sure you’ve purchased your tickets.

How do I purchase tickets?

By web: click me!

By phone: 401-247-4200

On foot: Stop by our box office

To grab a season flyer, please contact the box office.

Do you have Gift Certificates?

What if I misplace my tickets?

We use an online ticketing system, so it’s all on the interwebs. You can have your purchase confirmation open on your smart phone or printed out, if you like. But our courteous staff will always have a list of attendees at the door.

What if I'm unable to attend a show?

As long as it’s not a Preview Performance, just let us know! Preview Performance changes have an upgrade cost.

Or, you can always give them to a friend (or 4!).

I'm thirsty. Can I imbibe?

Definitely. Our bar is open 1 hour prior to performances, so grab a snack and a drink and bring it upstairs for the show. Just try not to spill!

Where can I park?

There are several areas to park nearby. Find your favorite one by planning your visit!

Is the theatre handicap accessible?

Yes, we are fully handicap accessible.

There is a ramp on the West entrance to the building, a lift to our UpStage Theatre, and each bathroom has a handicapped stall.

UpStage has seats in the front row on stage level (Row A) for anyone with mobility concerns.

What's with the fees?

Our incredible staff keeps 2nd Story operating each and every day and we think they’re worth it, don’t you? 🙂

Is the show appropriate for my child?

We can’t make that decision. We suggest checking out each play individually online or at your local library!
